In April of 2004, I had the opportunity to visit Malingua Pamba.  I was struck by the obvious need for education and sanitary improvements.  The population would greatly benefit from basic education given to all people.    If  parents knew how to read they could give their children a head start.  Also, giving people a basic education in sanitation would improve their health and living conditions.  There are so many needs that I cannot mention them in this brief writing.  This experience has left a lasting effect on me and I feel strongly that volunteers are a necessity to keep the progress going on this much needed gift to the community of Malingua Pamba.  The whole village seemed to be very harmonious and loving to one another.  This is an ideal place for anyone with a loving and giving spirit.
